Carol Ann Wash

Carol Ann (Nungester) Wash, 66, Plainfield, formerly of Martinsville, passed away February 11, 2022. Carol was born June 18, 1955, in Indianapolis, to the late Carl and Mary (Tenney) Nungester.
She graduated from Mooresville High School in 1973 and worked as 911 Dispatcher for the City of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Fire Department. Carol was a member of the Indianapolis Professional Fire Fighters Union #416 and the Association of Public Safety Communication Officials. She was also a member of the Plainfield Christian Church. Carol was passionate about animals, especially dogs, and enjoyed horseback riding. Her memory will be cherished by a loving family and many friends.
Survivors include one son, Jeremy (Christy) Wash; siblings, Richard (Kay) Nungester, Brian (the late Jeannie) Nungester, and Barbara (Russ) Nighbert; grandchild, Roen D. Wash.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 17, 2022, 4 to 7 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2022, in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morgan County Humane Society. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know knowing Carol when I worked as a paramedic with Wishard Ambulance Service. She was a very nice lady and a darn good dispatcher. Rest In Peace and God Bless.

My heart is breaking, I am so glad that Carol and I had some time to catch up with each other recently. Even through her pain and me in Arizona, it was like we never were apart. Carol was one of my best friends through school. I am so sorry to the family.
