Charles Arthur Myers Sr.

Charles A. Myers, age 76, of Mooresville, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015. Born July 21, 1939, in Oneida, NY, he was the son of the late Hazel (Foster) Myers.
Charles was a retired heavy equipment mechanic with the Levy Corporation in Gary, IN. He loved to tinker with almost anything but especially loved being with his family.
Survivors include his wife Rose, whom he married on August 21, 1960; his daughters: Susan Barden and Amy Mack; his son, Charles “Charlie” A. Myers, Jr.; his brother, Robert J. Myers; his sister, Judy Putman; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
As to Mr. Myers wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.

Charlie was my friend for a lot of years and one of his favorite sayings from years gone by was ‘ Better days are coming ‘ and he was absolutely correct as he is better off then any of us that he left behind. Will miss you Charlie. Rest in Peace my friend.
Chuck was not only a great father-in-law, but a good friend, also. He was always ready to get things done. There wasn’t a lazy bone in his body as far as I know. My only regret is that we didn’t spend more time together in the last years of his life. He’ll be sorely missed.
