Chris L. Shrum
65, of Camby, passed away on September 7, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville. Chris was born on December 11, 1960 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Charles Shrum and Betty (White) Martin.
Chris worked in various positions for Irving Materials for over 21 years, most recently as an assistant plant manager and Plant repairman, before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, restoring classic cars and going to car shows. He will be remembered as a Jack of all trades, who was a practical joker, and enjoyed joking and teasing those he loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry Shrum, and Chuck Shrum.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Martha (Wilson) Shrum; son Christopher W. Shrum (Brittany); grandchildren Clay Lackey, Sebastian Cheek, Bexley Cheek; siblings Ron Shrum, Debbie Shrum, Allen Shrum, and Corkey Carmichael.
Family and friends will gather in celebration of Chris’s life privately.
