Chris was one of the most positive, vibrant caring people in my life. His memory will be cherished by our wonderful family.
Though my job has taken me many places, often far away, my heart continues to draw me back home. And for my entire adult like, Chris has been a central figure in our Smith family Christmas celebrations.
Lynnette…just happened to see this. Our sincere condolences to you and Chris’ family. We think of you every time we drive through Mooresville. and hope you’re doing well. Our prayers are with you during this sad time. Cletis and Linda Foster
To the Fortuna family: Please accept my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear loved one. Death is such a tragedy for all of us, and when it touches us personally, it’s sometimes difficult to find the comfort that we search for. Our loving Heavenly Father Jehovah, who is the God of all comfort, feels empathy for those who have lost a loved one in death, and therefore promises to swallow up death forever and eliminate all pain suffering. (Please read Revelation 21:4 and Isaiah 25:8) As you read the above texts in your Bible, may they give you hope and comfort, during this most difficult time. Again, my deepest sympathy. David Cowles

To the Fortuna Family (especially Doc, Eleanor, Doug, Nancy & Jill) we send our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy on the sudden loss of Chris. My sister and I have fond memories of Chris riding his bike or his skateboard all over the driveway or playing the in the backyard fort. I recall when babysitting the fun Chris and Doug would pull. May memories of happier times comfort each of you and your faith surround you in the days ahead. His love of life and his fun spirit is one we will cherish. During this time of mourning, know you are in the prayers of many who care. With sympathy. Jo Ann
To the Fortuna family, I was a class mate of Chris’s at both Meridian Middle and Perry Meridian schools. I saw his obituary and it took me back to our school days. Life seemed so much simpler then; maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t. Anyway, Chris was always “a character”, and I mean that in a good way. He was the one who laughed out loud, the one who said what he was thinking and the one who just seemed to “not give a darn” about what the other kids thought. He was himself…Peace be with him and with all of you. Respectively, Brian “Pep” Klawun
