Clifford W. "Bubby" Liford

Clifford W. “Bubby” Liford, 78, Mooresville, passed away March 27, 2018, in IU Methodist Hospital. Cliff was born August 6, 1939, in Indianapolis, to the late Clifford Liford and Roberta (McCammon) Liford Munden.

He was a member of Teamsters Local Union 716 and employed at Cardinal Contracting for 39 years, retiring in 2002. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Cliff also was proud of his garden and looked forward to digging in the dirt every season; his family promised to keep that tradition alive. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Cliff will be fondly remembered by a loving family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Annetta Whitlow, Marjorie Brooks, and Mildred Liford.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Nadine (Jones) Liford; children, Clifford Liford, Jr. of Greenwood, Dana (Kenneth) Alsup of Camby, Kay (John) Billiard of Monrovia, Alan (Michelle) Liford of Greenwood, and Robert Lynn (Jenny) Liford) of Nicholasville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Kenneth and Michelle Alsup; Molly and Teagan Billiard; Kayla, Connor, and Michael Liford.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 30, 2018, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 31, at the funeral home, with burial following in New Crown Cemetery, Indianapolis.   1. I would like to give my condolences to my family about my uncle Bubby. He was a generous man and worked hard to pay for his family. Im a niece that lives in Wisconsin and I have never forgotten my LIFORDS! It is with a sad heart I have to say see you later Uncle Bubby not goodbye we will meet again.
