Craig A. Wishard

Craig Alan Wishard, 70, passed away on October 26, 2022, in Greenwood, Indiana. Craig was born December 6, 1951, in Indianapolis to the late Dell Emerson Wishard and Alberta Swope Wishard. Craig traveled extensively in his youth as his father was in the military, but spent most of his adult life in Greenwood. He attended IUPUI and worked briefly at Golden Rule Insurance. Craig was an avid reader with a particular fondness for military history and science fiction. He battled diabetes and heart disease among his many health concerns.
Carlisle-Branson will be conducting a graveside service on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 11:00 am in the Brooklyn Cemetery.

My fondest memory of Craig is when I was a kid living in Fond Du Lac, WI. He, along with Aunt Bert and Uncle Bud came to visit. Craig was very excited that we had a set of encyclopedias. He was about 5 years older than me so I just a little kid to him. He was a teenager but he explained how great encyclopedias were and how you could look things up and all you could learn. It was a fun day. His enthusiasm was exciting and it was nice to hear him talk. I used those encyclopedias for a long time after that.
