Daniel Edward Wilson, 61, of Camby, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, at his home after several years of failing health. Born on April 1, 1965, in Beech Grove, Indiana, Dan was a beloved father, brother, and friend to many.
He graduated from Decatur Central High School and dedicated years of his life to the construction industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Dan found joy in the simple pleasures of life, enjoying activities such as fishing and mushroom hunting, which brought him closer to nature. He loved playing Slotomania on his phone, sharing countless hours of fun with family and friends.
He will be missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends including his son, Nicholas (wife, Kassandra) Wilson of Plainfield; daughters, Kelsey (husband, Bryan) Carter of Indianapolis and Danielle Wilson of Indianapolis; sister, Debbie Strunk of Camby, Denise Montgomery of Paragon, and Donna Anderson of Unionville; and his beloved grandchildren.
Dan preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Vernon and Rolene Followell; brother, David Wilson; and grandchild, Braedyn Wilson.
In keeping with Dan’s wishes, his earthly remains have been cremated. There are no public services scheduled. Cremation arrangements has been entrusted to Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.
