Daniel Joseph “Burley” “Rebel” Robinson

79 of Mooresville, passed away on September 12, 2022. He was born on June 8, 1943 in Martinsville, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine and Ralph Robinson and his daughter Melody Jean Taylor.

He leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Louise (Swinney) Robinson; daughters Mandy Robinson, Mary Jo Rader (Kevin), Bobbie Jo Padgett (Don); grandchildren Donald, Keesha, Carley Ann, James, Bryttnie, Kyra; great grandchildren Elise, Destiny, and Greyson and his brother Bill Robinson (Beth Ann).

He was active with the Boy Scout Troop #219 in Martinsville, IN for many years. Daniel was a life member of the Vigilantes Motorcycle Club in Indianapolis, IN. He was also in the Indiana National Guard as a Staff Sergeant. He retired from Allison in Speedway, IN in 1992. He also had a construction business for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, boating on his pontoon, traveling, and camping. He built many things for his family in his woodworking shop. Anytime someone wanted something, he would build it for them.

He loved family cookouts, celebrations, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. After opening gifts, the grandkids would wad up the wrapping paper and throw it into the ceiling fan and when no one was looking, would hide it all over the house, often finding it 3 or 4 months later. Louise said, “Burley was the love of my life, and I will miss him dearly.”

A celebration of Burley’s life will be held privately.
