Danny K. Smith

Danny K. Smith, 65, Indianapolis, died March 8, 2013, in his residence. He was born September 21, 1947, in Indianapolis, to the late Wilbur and Evelyn (Crampton) Smith.

Danny was a proud veteran of the United States Army who served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Mooresville American Legion Post 103 and Teamsters Local 135. Mr. Smith worked for Sutherland Lumber Company, Central Transport, and Smith’s Trucking. In his spare time, Danny enjoyed riding motorcycles, attending car shows, and playing cards.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Barrett.

Survivors include his wife, Pam (Layman) Smith of Indianapolis; son, Jeff Smith of Indianapolis; daughter, Cheryl Crowe of Plainfield; brothers, Donald Bayt of Florida and Ronald Bayt of California; sister, Carol Walnetskie of Florida; grandchildren, Carley Crowe and Corey Dennison (Amanda).

The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 2 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Burial will follow in Coatesville Cemetery, Coatesville. Rev. Ted Stevens will officiate the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mooresville American Legion Post 103.   6. danny and I grew up together had a lot of fun then he started riding with me and a bunch of others and did we have fun I sold him his first new harley
