  1. I first met Darrell 26 years ago when I worked with his wife, Rita. I quickly learned what a funny man he was-never a dull moment when he was around 🙂 I remember many fun Red Lobster dinners with them. Over the years, the Haunted House became a tradition for my son and friends. It was hard to know who had more fun-the kids or watching the joy on Darrell’s face. He loved seeing all the kids and he truly enjoyed Halloween. Over the past few months, Darrell gave me lots of great Florida vacation tips as I planned our family trip. He even looked through our 100’s of photos afterwards. Ha. He loved his wife so much and his family, even that crazy bird. He loved showing us the new tricks he taught it. I will always have special memories of this wonderful man. As sad as it is to see him go, it brings peace knowing it was on his favorite holiday – doing what he loved most, doing something to bring happiness to lots of kids. xoxo Love, Lori (Chapman) Brawner and Family
