David Wayne Payne, 60, Mooresville, passed away December 13, 2022. Wayne was born April 11, 1962, in Martinsville, to the late David Thomas Payne and his loving mother, Tincie (Crusenberry) Payne, who survives.
Wayne attended Mooresville High School. He was a longtime truck driver, having worked for Jessup, Allen Body Shop, and McKnight. Wayne was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino. Wayne was very attentive to caring for his mother, Tincie. He will be fondly remembered by his loving family and friends.
Wayne is survived by his mother, Tincie Payne; brothers, Michael Payne and Steven Payne; children, Andrew and Cortnie; two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, December 16, 2022, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Wayne was a good guy! We met him the first time, when he came to the house looking for Josh. He asked for him by a nickname we had never heard. Told him no one lived here by that name. He started laughing and then said Josh. He was always smiling even when he wasn’t feeling good. He will be missed.
So many memories good and bad, but one thing for sure, we never lost that spark we always had for each other..I am going to miss all the laughs we had but have a lot of great memories..And for the record I never thought frozen meat was from frozen cows in the field!! God he loved to tell that story..I know your here watching over me everyone else..you will be missed ya pof!!
