To Dawn’s family, I think of the prayer of St Francis,’Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console, to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love for it is in giving we receive,it is in pardoning that we are pardoned and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.’ May she live forever with our Lord and Savior and always in our hearts…….Nancy Wells, CHRP sister from St. Thomas More’

  12. If cousins are truly our first friends then Dawn was surely one of my first. I remember spending weekends during summers as kids either with them at our hours or us at theirs. Will truly miss her. Love to Aunt Connie and Uncle Wayne, Jil, Dan, Mike, Kenny and the boys. Sarah (Mitchener) Duecker

  13. Dawn, you will be truly missed. For nine years you were my only ‘girl’ cousin. I keep remembering some of the fun things — playing together every Christmas Eve when we were little, the surprise party when I was twelve, seeing movies together when I was home from college. And then later, the baby shower after Matt was born. You were a very kind and sweet cousin.

  14. Dawn, we were really never close, but I cared about you very much. I do remember when I stayed with you and your family during the blizzard of 1978. I remember you making some kind of huge coffee cake that you had to roll out along the counter and had to had to use the little bit of counter space beside of the sink because it was SO long! Then, you had to butter it and quickly coil all of it up like a huge cinnamon roll and put it in a pan. I remember you laughing and working so hard and so fast in hopes that it wouldn’t fall off the counter! I will always smile when I remember how lively you were at that moment and also that you iced it with PINK icing! Rest in peace, my dear.

  15. WoHeLo my Camp Fire Girl Sister, You were my first choice in being partners in any Camp Fire Girl task, my best friend all through grade school, my close friend in high school. I will never forget all those fun times, and the many laughs we shared. You will live on in my Heart, FOREVER! I shall Never forget you~ Susie Luedeman Amond PaWaTa (my Camp Fire Girl name)

  16. Dawn was the first friend I made at St. Thomas More back in 2005. We attended RCIA together. We had both finally found happiness in our relationships and we loved sharing stories of how kind Kenny and my Chris were. She was so happy. I will think of Dawn often and always during Mass. She saw the face of Jesus in the eucharist and I am so thankful that she shared that with me. It is a true blessing to remember her in this way. I will miss you my friend. You are home with your Lord. Prayers to her family and friends.
