Dayton F. Schwartz, III

March 9, 1967 ~ December 5, 2020
Dayton F. Schwartz, III, 53, Martinsville, passed away unexpectedly December 5, 2020. Dayton was born March 9, 1967, in Belvidere, Illinois, to Dayton F. Jr. and Violet (Noth) Schwartz, who survive.
Dayton graduated from Shoreland Lutheran High School in Wisconsin. For more than 20 years, he worked in many capacities at Sherrill’s Drywall. Simply put, Dayton could build and/or fix just about anything. He was exceptionally talented in his trade and enjoyed staying busy with his work. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, and shooting. Dayton’s family was very important to him, and he always looked forward to a trip to Illinois or Wisconsin to catch up with his children, parents, and siblings. Dayton was incredibly generous – always willing to help a friend or stranger in need. His kind and easy going nature will be fondly remembered by his family and many friends.

(Veronica) Schwartz, IV and Anthony (Ivy) Schwartz; parents, Dayton F. and Violet Schwartz; sisters, Dwenda (Ed) Acosta and Darla Hood; brother, Dominic Schwartz; grandchildren, Presley, Elliott, and Taylor; bonus son, Christopher Mercer; a large extended family including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

May you find peace and comfort in this time of sorrow. Dayton was a friend to our family and he will be missed.
I have way to many to tell as I had a whole 53 years with him. I miss you baby brother and the many calls and texts we shared. All of the ups and downs we helped each other through. Love you so much and will see you again i no.
To the family My heart goes out to everyone of you Dayton was such a kind happy guy and always fun to visit with and talk to. I would be on the jobsite and it would never fail he would want me to try one of the flavored smokes he always had and I would . And we would stand there and shoot the bull until we had to part and get back to work. What a kind person and he and those times with him will be so sadly missed but always remembered. Ed Simpson
I just woke up this morning dreaming about my younger years about my brother. At a very young age he discovered that he could fix just about everything. I remember so many days when we first moved to Zion Illinois a lot of navy family’s lived near by. He would take his skate board out and he would bring home anything he found. Tv’s, sewing machine’s, to much else to remember and he would plug it in and tell mom dad this is the part this item needs to work. And he put in the part and that is how I had my first sew machine and had it many years. So he was born with a special talent and he carried that through his whole life aside from never knowing a stranger.
Our sincere condolences to the family and friends. Special extended sympathies extended to Butch & Vi. Herb & Linda Schwartz Oshkosh, Wi.
