Dixie Halcomb

Dixie Halcomb, 76, Mooresville, died February 8, 2014, in Meadow Lakes, Mooresville. Mrs. Halcomb was born January 27, 1938, in Indianapolis, to the late Ervin Baugh and Hazel (Davidson) Baugh, who survives in Indianapolis.
She graduated from Washington High School and was a proud homemaker. Dixie was an avid golfer and member of Eagle Pines Golf Club, where she had been Club Champion. In addition, she was an accomplished cook and the epitome of a grandma. She loved to spend time with her family and will be sorely missed by all of her loved ones.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell G. Halcomb; brothers, Ronald Baugh and Michael Baugh; sister, Roxanne Baugh.
Survivors include her sons, Rob Halcomb of Mooresville, Steve Halcomb (Young) of Florida, and Jeff Halcomb (Tricia) of Mooresville; mother, Hazel Baugh of Indianapolis; brother, Jack Baugh of Avon; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held privately on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Burial will be in the Mooresville Cemetery. I remember going to cookouts at the house in Mooresville with my Mom & Dad in the summertime., and spending time in the winter at the bowling alley. RIP Dixie.
