Donald E. Froh

Donald E. Froh, 94, of Avon, passed away January 6, 2019. He was born May 3, 1924, in Wisconsin, to the late Theodore and Elizabeth (Petrie) Froh. Donald married the love of his life, Eleanor Jonhson, on July 20 1946.

Donald proudly served for the United States Army, during world war II, in the Military Police sector and honorably received the Bronze Star Medal. Mr. Froh was a long time member in at Bible Baptist in Cortland, New York and most recently attended the Lifeline Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing softball, hunting, boating, fishing and watching the Boston Red Sox and Green Bay Packers. He is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Donald A. Froh and a grandson, Daniel A. Froh.

Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Eleanor; daughter, Betsy (Phillip) Giggie of Zionsville; five grandchildren and two step grandchildren.

A gathering of friend and family to celebrate the life of Donald E. Froh will be Thursday, January 10, 2019, 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Life Line Baptist Church with a memorial service to begin at 11:30 a.m., at the church. A time of food and fellowship will immediately follow the service, at the church. Burial will be private at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Madison, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bible Baptist: 15 West Rd, Cortland, NY 13045, Life Line Baptist Church: 13387 N.
