  1. Jon- I’m so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a very good man and a proud father. He took me under his wing when I first started at the Star thirty years ago. Always had great stories to share, one of the funniest people I’ve ever known! Just a great sense of dry humor. Most importantly he was a good caring man that always was thoughtful to everyone he came across. I know your loss as I’ve lost a parent. I’ll keep you and your entire family in my prayers. Bill Legg

  2. Don was a great guy with a great sense of humor. Never took anything too seriously. I worked with him for several years at the Star and always enjoyed working with him. He minded his own business and was always pleasant with nary a bad word to say about anyone. He was a gentleman and all I knew him, liked him. Very sorry to hear of his passing. I’ve lost both of my parents. Don’s legacy of family, memories, treasures of time spent and influence of great character will help carry you thru in the years ahead. Blessings to your family. Mary Fitzgerald Ball

  3. Don and Jon – I am sorry to hear of your loss. I respected your father as we were growing up and always enjoyed his wisdom. When we are young we sometimes don’t appreciate our parents until we are adults ourselves. You both had a good man to look up to, and I can say that I looked up to him also. God bless,
