Donna Loy Many

September 13, 1938 ~ October 5, 2026

Born in: Indianapolis, Indiana
Resided in: Mooresville, Indiana

Donna Loy Many, 88, of Mooresville, passed suddenly on Monday, October 5, 2026 at IU Methodist Hospital with family at her side.  She was born in Indianapolis on September 13, 1938 to the late Charles Waterman and Evelyn Eileen (Saunders) Waterman.

Donna worked for American United Life Insurance in Indianapolis before retiring in 2002.  Prior to starting her career at AUL, she worked for Service Supply in Indianapolis.  A follower of Jesus, she was a member of Graceway Fellowship in Mooresville.

When her kids were young, she loved to sew clothing for herself and her girls and mend the never-ending holes in the boy’s pants.  In later years, she enjoyed putting together and decorating dollhouses and miniature shadow boxes.  Her flower beds were the envy of the neighborhood.

After retirement, she and Bruce were active at the Mooresville Senior Center and did some traveling.  After Bruce’s passing, she enjoyed adventures with her companion, Mike McKinney, as well as with her kids.  Her girls took her South where all her boys joined them to celebrate her birthday.  There were trips to Florida where she got to put her feet in the ocean and showed amazement at the vastness; and trips to southern IN to chase her ancestry to houses no one can prove existed.   There was nothing more fun than getting Mom to laugh because she would laugh until she cried.  She had a great sense of humor.

She always put her family first and she appreciated everything she had and everything others did to help her.  She loved Morgan’s for breakfast, and she loved to dance.

Above all, she was a loving, kind person.

She will be deeply missed by many including her sons, James Many of San Antonio, TX, Tom Many of Pearl River, LA and Tim (wife, Michelle) from Lilburn, GA;  daughters, Donna Jensen (husband, Brian) of Normal, IL and Denise Frazier (husband, Chris) of Mooresville; 11 beloved grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Evelyn Waterman; husband, Clement “Bruce” Many; son, Stephen Many (in infancy); brother, Charles Waterman, daughter in law, Laura Many, and companion, Mike McKinney.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, October 19th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Following the visitation, Donna’s Life Celebration® Service will commence at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Her earthly remains will be cremated following the services.

  1. Jim
Sorry to hear of your mother’s passing

You’ve been through alot these past years. Thinking of you and praying for peace.

  2. I grew up next to Donna & played with her kids & went to school with them. Good old days when us kids would stay out all day only went in to eat. I think Donna might be the last resident in that old neighborhood & that just breaks my heart. Donna was always a nice woman & my mom thought a lot of her. It’s so sad how our lives will never be the same when love ones pass. My heart goes out to her family.

  3. a very special lady, we had great times at the senior center, she always came to help set up the rummage sale. my thoughts and prayers to the family for such a great loss.

  4. My last Aunt on the Many side, I always loved to go to Bruce & Donna’s when I was a kid, lots of cousins to play with! Uncle Bruce was a little scary but Aunt Donna was the SWEETEST! I never in my life saw her angry or grumpy. Rest in Peace, all the others are there to greet you. Hugs to Jimmy, Tom, Tim, Donna and Denise.

  5. Aunt Donna was always so kind to us when we were able to attend the reunions.. Prayers for my cousins and many Many family members thru this .. RIP Aunt Donna 😢 🙏 💔

  6. Aunt Donna. Such a precious soul. She was the favorite all time Aunt. We made so many memories in the summers when we were all together and to remember them makes me smile and smile. Rest peacefully Auntie and hug Uncle Bruce for me. Loads of love and hugs to those she leaves behind.

  7. So sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. She was the last of the old neighbors on Sweetwood Drive. I remember how she would grab the kids and run across the street to our house during storms since we had a basement! She was loved and will be missed.

  8. To the Many family i’m so sorry for your loss my condolences to you’ll. I didn’t get to spend much time with her but the time I did get was delightful, she was truly special May her beautiful soul rest in peace. I will keep you’ll in my prayers.
