Ray & Catherine always sat in front of us at church. We met them when we were fairly new grandparents, & we always felt they were our mentors. They talked to us about how they loved taking their grandchildren with them on vacations, because even if they had been there before, it was always new to them, when looking through the eyes of their grandchildren. They told us about several vacations they had taken, & they were always loving memories. We really loved them, & considered them our second set of parents. Now Catherine is happy up there with Ray! God Bless!
Dear Margaret and extended family, I was saddened today to hear of Catherine’s passing. She was such a dear friend! How we used to love to bike over to the McNabney home place and sit and visit out under the maple trees. Our children would run around and Catherine and I would sit and talk. She shared so much wisdom with me over the years! What a blessing she was in my life as a young mother living far away from relatives. I have missed not having her in the neighborhood since she moved to Plainfield. The last time I saw her she didn’t remember me but was so glad that I came by. She was a sweet spirited person and a wonderful example of growing old gracefully. I know that she and Ray are praising our Saviour in heaven right now, together again. I will be praying for you all as you tell her your final goodbyes. With love, Rachelle Gegg
Bill, Linda & Family, Just wanted you to know that I am praying God comforts you during your time of loss. A mother is a special person and no matter how long we have our mom, it’s difficult to say goodbye. May God give you peace as you celebrate her home going. God Bless, Jon Frain
