Dorothy Ditton

Dorothy Ditton, 85, Mooresville, died December 6, 2011, in Miller’s Merry Manor. Mrs. Ditton was born October 22, 1926, in Irvington, Kentucky, to the late Odis and Minnie (Chapel) Shaw.

Mrs. Ditton worked as a cashier at the Mooresville Kroger, retiring in 1978. She was a also a member of the Mooresville VFW Post 1111 Ladies’ Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ditton; sons, Mark and Darrell Pollock.

Survivors include her son, Karel Sampson (Peggy) of Jeffersonville; daughter, Darlene Moore (Steve) of Mooresville; sister, Linda Arbuckle of Bedford; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2011. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery. Rev. Terry Crist will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
