Dorothy E. Weaver

Dorothy Ellen Weaver, 80, Greenwood, formerly of Mooresville, died June 1, 2011, at St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. Mrs. Weaver was born April 10, 1931, in Romney, Indiana, to the late Otis L. and Lona C. (Bell) Thayer.

She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church and was also a part of the church's Booster Class. Mrs. Weaver worked for the former Indiana National Bank for 21 years, retiring in 1992. She had also been a member of the Mooresville Order of the Eastern Star #260.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy P. Weaver and brothers, Calvin and Otis Thayer.

Survivors include one daughter, Paula Weaver of Greenwood; brother, David Thayer of Lafayette; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Weaver of Avon.

Rev. Dennis Payton will officiate the 11 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 10 a.m. Additional calling will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2011.
