Douglas Matthew Simpson, 26, Indianapolis, died November 11, 2012. Douglas was born May 29, 1986, in Indianapolis.
Doug attended Decatur Central High School. He was employed at Beech Grove Tire, Goodwill and had also worked in the seal coating industry. He enjoyed fishing, loved music, and especially spending time with his children and friends. He also liked to play Play Station 3.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jason Michael Simpson; step-father, John Raymond Dicus.
Survivors include his wife, Gabrielle Thomas Simpson of Indianapolis; mother, Kimberly Sue Dicus of Beech Grove; children, Michael Jason Simpson of Florida and Kendall Elizabeth Renee Simpson of Indianapolis; sister, Sheena Earl of Beech Grove; father, Ralph V. Simpson, Jr. of Texas.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2012, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 11 a.m. Pastor Jeff Newton will officiate. Doug it has been just a few months now and it still don’t seem real to me. I still want to pick up the phone at times and call you just to say I love you. Then I remember I can’t so I look up at the sky and tell all of you how much I love and miss you. Your niece and nephews miss you a lot. They talk about you all the time and are always asking questions. It is so hard to explain to Jayden about his uncle Doug. Just remember you are always in our hearts and you will always be there.
