  1. Jeri, Cheri, and Barbara, My thoughts and prayers are with you all, enjoyed sharing a fun childhood with your family may those thoughts of joyful memories bring you peace. With sympathy, Frances Loomis Dattilo ’67

  2. Sending heartfelt sympathy to your family. I remember the fun days with the Barlows as I was growing up. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sheila Tussey Richardville

  3. I am so sorry for your loss Ricky was a great person and will be missed My prayers are with your family

  4. I remember how much love and devotion Rick had for his animals. I had never seen an exotic animal in real life until Rick introduced me to Buster! Later we received Cody, the african lion, then shortly came Tasha, the american black bear! She was just an 8 wk old cub he brought home to me for Easter from an auction! Rick proved to me that his animals loved and respected him too! From: Shirley

  5. Rick was a good friend while we were growing up in Mooresville. I have vivid memories of trading comic books in my back yard and playing games together when we were young. Though I lost contact after graduating from high school, he wasn’t forgotten. I looked for him several times during return trips to town, but didn’t find him. The heartbreaking news comes as a shock, and I’m sorry we never re-connected. If he was half as good an adult as he was when young, his loss is a tragedy for the community. He was a good person, a good spirit, and undoubtedly a loving family member. He will be missed.

  6. This is so heartbreaking to read. Rick and I have been communicating quite a bit over the past few years. We grew up together and connected several times throughout our lives. Rick will be missed and to me, always remembered as a good friend, a loving soul and a genuine person. My sympathies to his children and his family. I am so sorry Barbara, Cody, Jody, and Kelsey!

  7. I remember just sitting with him listening to his stories. From what he’s told me and I’ve seen he’s had an amazing life, its a shame I didn’t know him in his prime
