Earl Dodson Pinkiston

Earl D. Pinkiston, 71, Indianapolis, passed away November 30, 2018. Earl was born May 15, 1947, in Russellville, Kentucky, to the late Charles Pinkiston and Geneva (Markham) Pearson.
Earl attended high school in Kentucky and proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as a certified welder at Midwest Roll Forming for more than 20 years, retiring in 2010. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hiking. Described by his family as a loving, caring, and devoted man, Earl’s favorite pastime was doting over his grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered by his loving family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry E. Pinkiston.
Survivors include his wife, Doris (Carter) Pinkiston, to whom he was united in marriage February 22, 1969; sons, Keith A. Pinkiston and Michael W. (Sara) Pinkiston; daughter, Heather Rene Pinkiston; brothers, Kenny, Ronald, and Charles Pinkiston; sisters, Geraldine Farley and Charlene Abney; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 2018, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with calling hours there from 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mooresville Cemetery.
