Elizabeth Ellen Pennington, 87, Greenwood, died November 28, 2012. Mrs. Pennington was born March 26, 1925, in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late Frank and Sarah Josephine Inabnitt.
Mrs. Pennington was the co-owner of Center Grove Resort and Pennington Mobile Home Park. She was also a longtime member of Emmanuel Church of Greenwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Floyd Byron Pennington, Jr.; one son, Stephen DeWayne Pennington; brothers, Luther, Nelson, and Louis Inabnitt; sisters, Stella, Lella, Della, Verna, and Ina.
Survivors include her children, Deborah L. Stevens (Forest) of Mooresville; son, Charles B. Pennington of Greenwood; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 2, 2012, in the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 12 Noon. Burial will be in the Mooresville Cemetery. Pastor Marion Glover will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Chuck and Debby, My heart goes out to you. Your Mom and Dad were good friends. We are in Florida so we will not be able to attend the services. I have many good memories living in the upstairs appt. I remember helping flock the Christmas trees and delivering them. Carl and Anne Taylor
