Ethel L. Higgins

Ethel L. Higgins, 90, of Indianapolis, formerly from Marion, Indiana, passed away on December 23, 2022. Ethel was born in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Stephen & Helen Calhoon. Ethel was an elementary school teacher for many years. However, her passion was mentoring and counseling students at Indiana Wesleyan College in the Audio Visual Lab. Ethel came from a very musical family and she loved to sing. She enjoyed reading, reality TV shows, being outdoors and bird watching. She could sit for hours and listen to her grandchildren tell stories. Ethel was full of life and will be missed by all who knew her.
Ethel is survived by her children; Lisa (Jack) Teegarden, Brent (Deanna) Higgins, Bradley Higgins and Lynae (Rich) Danzeisen, grandchildren; Lauren (Weston) Dearman, Whitney (Jared) Law, Joshua (Natalie) Danzeisen, Emily Danzeisen and Ariana Danzeisen, great-grandchildren; Tucker, Piper, Brooks, Blair, Cadence, Rowen and Austen, along with her sister; Betty (Bill) Pierson.
Ethel is preceded in death by her loving husband; Vaughn Higgins and grandson; BJ Higgins.
