  1. Our family always loved to do large jigsaw puzzles. During Mom’s years at Hooverwood we completed many puzzles, spending many hours on Sundays working on them. Mom had her own puzzle table, and everyone knew it was hers. One time we got close to finishing a challenging puzzle we’d worked on for weeks. We couldn’t find the last piece. I assured Mom I’d make her a piece to finish it. I proceeded to take pictures of the puzzle box, print them, blow them up to multiple sizes thinking one would be close to a fit. Nezt visit Mom told us she had found the piece. It had fallen off the table into her shoe. She found it that night. After that we kidded her about hiding the last piece like my father often did, and always made her check her shoes when we left the puzzle room for the day.

  2. My name is Fred Foster, I was in the youth group at River Avenue when we were all teen agers, in the late 50’s and early 60’s. Really enjoyed our time in the Youth for Christ program as well. I remember those days with great joy. So fear not Family, we who believe know that we will see her again, so be faithful in the Lord. .

  3. Thank you Fred. Mom loved her time in youth groups at church. Several of her frinds have been in touch. She’s in Heaven with her parents again.

  4. In loving Memory of Dear Sweet Aunt Evelyn, she will always be in my heart. We’re praying for all of you and wish we could be there.

  5. My condolences to all of you. I took care of Evelyn at Hooverwood and I was very fond of her. We grew quite close over the past year and I am saddened by her sudden passing. She spoke of her love for her family often. God Bless all of you.

  6. Thank you for everything you did for mom. She loved her home at Hooverwood. You guys really took care of mom iver the years.

  7. My dear friend Evelyn and I lost touch several years ago. Starting as neighbors and watching our children grow. Sharing a love of gardening, and eating tomato sandwiches!
