Faye Diane (Rudy) Sargent

94, of Martinsville, passed away on July 24, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family. Faye was born on May 5, 1932, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania to the late Verna K. (Van Hook) and Luke E. Rudy.

Faye was a proud graduate of Spring City HS in Pennsylvania as the class valedictorian. Faye was united in marriage to Harold “Gene” Sargent, whom she married on August 18, 1950, and were married over 60 years, until Gene’s death in 2010. Strong in her faith, she was a member of many churches throughout her life, singing in the choirs, and serving on various committees. Additionally, she was a member of the Tri Kappa in Bedford, and Meals on Wheels in Plainfield. She enjoyed keeping her mind sharp with crossword puzzles and Sudoku. She will be remembered for her love of her family, her great sense of humor, determined and focused as well as being brutally honest at times.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Gene” Sargent; brother Luke Rudy, Jr., and a sister Gail Griffith.

She is survived by sons, Eugene E. Sargent, Vernon L. (Monica) Sargent, daughters, Pamela Sue Sargent Haase, Bari Sargent; 9 grandchildren Kiel, Kristen (Daniel), Kenneth, Kraig, Amanda, Alex (Nicole), Nicholas, Helen, Meredith (Maverick), as well as 9 great-grandchildren, Jaelynne, Ellianna, Harry, Jaxon, Dean, Jade, June, Lilly, and Harlan.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Faye’s life on Tuesday, July 28^th from 5:00pm- 8:00pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with funeral services on Wednesday, July 29^th at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall, Indiana.
