Frances Jean Lewis

Frances Jean Lewis, 94, Monrovia, passed away peacefully at home July 2, 2020. Mrs. Lewis was born November 19, 1925, in Indianapolis, to the late Percy Thomas and Frida Mildred (Partlow) Graves.
Frances graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and attended business school in Indianapolis. Through the years, she had been employed at Stark & Wetzel, Associated Materials Lumber, and RCA. Always interested in others, Frances was an active volunteer with organizations that served underprivileged children, such as LaSertoma and the Indiana School for the Blind. She will be fondly remembered by her family for her kind and understanding nature.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, George O. Lewis and a grandson, Kenny Pyritz.
Survivors include one son, George Thomas Lewis; one daughter, Diana Pyritz; grandchildren, Tania Hagerty and Jeff Pyritz; several great grandchildren.
Services will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Friends may call there from 11 a.m. until service time.
