Frances Josephine Cooper

Frances Josephine Cooper, 80, Mooresville, died peacefully at home on July 5, 2012. Mrs. Cooper was born July 25, 1931, in Indianapolis, to the late Wilbur and Mary Belle (Roberson) Warren.
She graduated from Decatur Central High School. She worked early on for the Fletcher Avenue Savings and Loan. More recently, Mrs. Cooper enjoyed working as a library assistant for the Monroe Gregg Elementary School System for more than 20 years. She attended Gasburg Baptist Church and enjoyed square dancing with her husband for many years. She was a great cook and will be missed by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Warren and sister, Thelma Metzger.
Survivors include her husband, Chester Cooper, to whom she was united in marriage May 9, 1953; sons, Gary Cooper (Tami) of Reelsville, Larry Cooper (Patty) of Mooresville, and Terry Cooper (Ronda) of Fishers; sisters, Carolyn Huber of Brownsburg, Judy Galyan of West Liberty, Kentucky, and Brenda Stafford of Pittsboro; grandchildren, Kassidy McCowan, Kylee Kuehn, Kourtney Cooper, and Kameron Cooper; Whitney Cooper and Tony Cooper; great grandchildren, Kyndall and Stella McCowan.
The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, July 8, 2012. Rev. Dear Cooper family — Sorry could not be there to visit and share memories, yet wanted you to know you and your families are in our prayers. I remember all the fun times we had at your house with the horses and barns. As a kid – this was one of the funest places I remember going and all the fun times our families speant together.
