Gayle Lutman Thober

Gayle Lutman Thober, 63, Mooresville, passed away suddenly on March 12, 2013, in Destin, Florida. She was born October 8, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Darrell Elwood Lutman and Elizabeth Marie Robinson.

Gayle graduated from Waite High School. She was a faithful member of the Springhill Christian Center in Mooresville. A very active person, she worked locally as a massage therapist. She enjoyed the water and loved traveling to the beach. Gayle was intrigued by lighthouses and also found joy in reading. Her biggest fans were her grandchildren and her young canine companion, Daisy. Gayle attended many of the sporting events and chauffeured the kids back and forth practices. She will be dearly missed by all of her loving family and many friends.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Darrell “Rusty” Lutman; sister, Sherry Scheanwald.

Survivors include her children, Kelly Johnson (Ken) of Mooresville, and Cameron Scott Thober of Lawrence; sisters, Marcia Macey of Woodlands, Texas, and Sandy Hickey of Conroe, Texas; grandchildren, Hailey, Hanna, Holleigh, and Kyler Johnson, Ashley, Carson, Brooklyn, and Aiden; many loving nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2013, in Springhill Christian Center, 12150 N. Rooker Road, Mooresville. Calling will be observed from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2013, at the church. Pastor Mark Wright will officiate the services. Burial will follow in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.   1. THE LOSS OF A COUSIN My eyes filled up with tears as I heard the news It never occurred to me,how much I could lose I find myself wishing that it wasn’t real. Every time I think about it,pain is all I feel Tears fall from my eyes, I can barely see But my heart tells me that she will always be with me I am glad she feels no pain now she lives in a perfect land I can still feel the soft touch on my shoulder of her loving hand I lie in bed and cry at night And I don’t feel any better in the morning light And I will love and miss her forever Until the day we are again together Together in that perfect place above.   4. To Gayle’s family – her friends here at Mooresville Animal Hospital, just heard the news of Gayle’s passing, and are deeply saddened. Gayle was a wonderful woman and a favorite client and we will miss her. We learned that her beloved ‘Daisy’ is in a loving new home which I know would make Gayle very, very happy. Our deepest condolences. We will miss you Gayle.

  5. I worked with Gayle at the K-State Student Union. She was such a delightful, fun, caring person. She always made the day better and we enjoyed socializing outside of work. her laugh was infectious, I have missed her since she left and will miss her more. Such a fun lady! My thoughts and prayers are with Gayle and her family.

  7. I have not seen Gayle in a long time and I was saddeded to see her obituary. Gayle and I worked together many years ago at Lutherwod. I remeber Gayle as a really fun person and we shared many good times.
