  1. i met George about 4 years ago when his life was a much slower pace. I have since heard and read about the very active man I have grown to care about as if he and Joanne were my family. He was a man of few words but it tickled me to see the adoring way he would look at Joanne when she came into the room. No words were necessary. It was a first for me when we celebrated George and Joanne’s 70th Wedding Anniversary. I’d never known anyone who had achieved such a milestone. Then to see their wedding photos revealed what a beautiful couple they were. She could have been a model and well he was a very handsome catch also. George could never remember my name but he recognized me the minute I walked into the room and he would always say ‘where have you been’ and ‘I missed you’. I am thankful for the pleasure of knowing George Fields and I will miss him every day. Beverly Tutterow
