George R. Poteet
65, of Camby, passed away on October 30, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. George was born on April 14, 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Prentice Poteet and Irma (Wolfe) Coates.
George was a graduate of Mooresville High School and a member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church. He worked for Catellier Salvage for many years and most recently as a mechanic for Greendell Landscaping. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard A. Poteet.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Patti (Quill) Poteet; daughters Sherrie L. Gray, Sarah Pope, Jenny Fine; son Jason Giegerich; brother Robert (Veronica) Poteet; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 4th at 11:00am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Mooresville, with visitation one hour prior the service on Friday at the church. Entombment will follow the services in Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis.
