Gregory V. Pease

February 8, 1973 ~ July 24, 2020
Gregory V. Pease
47, of Mooresville, passed away on July 24, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Greg was born on February 8, 1973 in Norfolk, VA to the late Richard V. Pease and Alma (Tackett) Pease, who survives.
A longtime resident of Mooresville, Greg graduated from Mooresville High School. He worked as an appraiser for State Farm Insurance Company for over 23 years. Greg enjoyed cars, whether it was building them, racing them or playing his guitar. However, he loved his family and loved coaching in the Mooresville Junior Football, Basketball and Baseball leagues. He was a long-time board member of the Mooresville Junior Football League, even continuing to serve on the board of the league, after his kids were done playing. He loved the kids and remembered each player and parents by name, what team and what year they played. His leadership and mentorship will be greatly missed and leave a large void in the Mooresville athletic community.
He is survived by his wife Ashlee (Buis) Pease; children Jordan and Tyler Hammons; mother Alma (Tackett) Pease; sister Rhonda Phillips and host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 29th from 3-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. He will be cremated following the visitation and a celebration of Greg’s life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made in Greg’s memory to The Mooresville Junior Football League, P.O. Box 116, Mooresville, Indiana 46158.

I grew up with Greg and Rhonda they lived 3 houses up from me. Greg was always a pain to Rhonda and I and all of our friends, which is what big brothers do. I am in disbeleif and my prayers and love go to all the family. RIP Greg until we meet again.
I hired Greg as an auto estimator for State Farm Insurance 23 years ago. He was always a hard-working, no-nonsense type of employee. Everyone liked him and respected him. Greg simply got the job done and he did it well- he was someone you knew you could count on. I enjoyed discussing NFL football with him every season and commiserating about our teams’ shortcomings. Condolences to Ashlee, the boys, and Greg’s family. He was a great guy and will be sorely missed.
I have known Greg since 1999 when I met him as Tony’s and Cybil’s friend at the gym. Since that time there were SO many times we partied together on a vacation, New Years, St. Patrick’s day, Colts get togethers and a wedding! I will miss his mischievous smile and wry remarks. Truly one of the good guys! My condolences to his close friends and Alma, and Ashlee and the rest of the family.
Greg helped me coach our team to an undefeated season. He was a true blue cowboys fan which bonded us quickly. He was always encouraging the boys thru the years even when his own moved into middle school. After all the years out at the fields he was convinced we had a state title team in the making. He will be truly missed.
I had the joy of working with Greg at State Farm for many years. He was always fun and silly, but knew how to get the job done. He was always willing to help and would go out of his way to do so. I am so thankful to have known him and called him my friend. My prayers are with Ashlee, the boys, his mom, and sister.

I never got the chance to say thank you. Over the past 10 years you helped mold my boys into the men they will become, I will always be grateful for everything you did for them and you loving them as your own. My words simply can’t do it justice to how grateful I am and how much I respect you.
With heartfelt condolences,
