  10. I owe Hosten a great debt of gratitude for helping me keep a job flexible enough job to continue working until I graduated Nursing School. I won’t forget all the giving moments he had for his workers; turkeys, hams at the Holidays and always a lending hand when needed for each of his workers. He took care of his workers and he knew us! Working at Dairyland for nearly 6 years helped mold me into the person I am today. Monrovia Dairyland wasn’t just a store, it was the pilar in the community! RIP Hosten

  11. Hosten Bible was a great man and played a major role in the community. He used to rent properties out to my parents when I was a little girl. I think at one point he owned most of the town. He definitely made his mark in the town of Mooresville and was pretty much like a celebrity here (seems as though everyone knew him). My prayers go out to his family and he will be truly missed. -Amanda

  20. Me deepest sympathy and condolences to Ann and the children. I knew Hosten fo more than 30 years, back years ago after we had already knew each other I introduced him to my first wife, turned out that he worked closely with her grandmother for years at Maplehurst, since then many times he would bring up Mary Ethel McKinley, that was a special connection that we shared over the years even though my first wife and I have been divorced for over 25 years. I remember once introducing him to my daughter and he quickly told her how wonderful of a lady that her great-grandmother was. I did do work on some of his rental properties and as I often told people he was not a slum lord, every property I had seen was in very good condition, he would always go above and beyond what other people with as many pieces of properties would do for their tenants, most I had seen were clean and nice and from what I seen hw would always try to give his tenants what they wanted. Hosten was a good man and will be sorely missed by many, may God rest your soul HB until we meet again.
