Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dad – our hearts are broken now that you are gone, but you have given us a lifetime of memories to live on. All our love. Jeff and Elaine

  2. To the Harold Handy family, I first met Harold in 1950 when my family moved from Bowling Green, KY. to Indy. Harold, his brother Sam, their Mother Elva and grandmother Mat lived on the west side near Eagle Creek. Aunt Mat as we called her was the sister of my Grandmother Eliza Hines-Flowers. Harold and Sam would take me down to the creek for a swim in Eagle Creek. The two boys lived in a little house behind their Mother and step-fathers house (she was married to Carl Rouse shortly before we arrived in Indy). Those were fun times and Harold and his brother Sam treated us like royalty when we visited from the east side of Indy. I temember my Dad telling us that Harold was one of the best diesel mechanics in Indy. My Dad worked in body and fender shops for over forty years and from time to time he would mention hearing about Harold from other mechanics. Our prayers go out to the family and it is sad we did not hook up with Harold in past years, he was always pleasant and smiling in the times that we knew him. Billy E. Brown, grandson of Eliza Jackson Hines-Flowers

  3. Thank you for your kind thoughts and remembering dad. It was so nice to hear from you and we hope all is going well.
