Harold G. Stecher

Harold Gene Stecher, 87, of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Harold was born November 7, 1930, in Pike County, Illinois, to his adopted father, the late Ralph Stecher. He was married to Beatrice A. (Asbury) Stecher on April 17, 1954, she preceded him in death.
Harold proudly served in the United States Army. For most of his life Harold was a proud cabinet maker. Toward his later years in life Harold also worked for Conrail. Mr. Stecher attended the Church of Christ. He will be best remembered for his woodworking skills that he truly enjoyed. Harold will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
In addition to his father he is also preceded in death by his grandson Christopher Stecher.
Survivors include his two sons, Lannie (Susan) Stecher and Dean (Kim) Stecher ; grandchildren, Robert (Rachael) Stecher, Melissa Stecher, Josh Stecher, Misti Stecher; and great grandchildren, Emalynn, Isaac, Elizabeth, and Mackenzie.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate and honor the life of Harold Gene Stecher on Monday, June 4, 2018, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory; service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. I am very sorry for your loss . Losing a loved one in death is such a difficult thing to experience . Please be comforted by the promises in the Bible . Jesus tells us at John 5 : 28 , 29 that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out .
