Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I will forever cherish the time I got to spend with Harvey in his home. I will always remember all the stories and adventures he shared with me. Over the last couple years Harvey became like an extra grandpa to me, and I’m so blessed to have known him. I will miss all his “lip checks” making sure I wasn’t smooching too much while I was gone and having him ask how Lieutenant Smooch is doing. Harvey is one of the best, most caring men I’ve ever known and I’m truly blessed to have had him in my life.

  2. I remember Harvey driving golf balls over our field into the gravel pit, I remember Harvey worked for ATT and Indiana Bell and I remember the first time as an Ameritech repairman I figured out Harvey was The Lineman from Norman Rockwell and I called him from the customers garage where it hung and ask him about it.

  3. My family and I will always remember Harvey as the best Santa Claus ever! He was one of the kindest people I have ever met and his love for children was unmatched. He and his family are in our prayers.

  4. Harvey and Francis were the best neighbors in Waverly. I remember going to the cemetery to collect the golf balls for him that landed there…

  5. Growing up as next door neighbor, I have vivid memories of Harvey on his John Deere lawn mower with the attached grass catcher. I knew he loved his yard and gardening and family. I remember him as a gentle giant.

  6. I am so sorry for the loss of your wonderful Dad. Thinking of you and praying for your whole family. Much love to all of you.

  7. Harvey & Frances two of the greatest friends who I have enough wonderful memories to fill a book! We have laughed, cried & shared our lives together. Our kids grew up together and turned out to be wonderful young people. Terry, Linda, Lisa and Julie also turned out to be my friends also. A wonderful Christian family that shared Christ with everyone they met. Harvey was a giant of a man in many ways. Thanks to God we will all meet again in eternity.

  8. Harvey was my first role model. Was in awe of where he came from and all that he was able to accomplish. He was a fun competitor. He created a great environment for his family. He helped me get a summer job with Indiana Bell collecting telephones. Lots of good memories of Harvey and his family.

  9. I was so sorry to hear of Harvey’s passing. I still miss them living across the street. There aren’t any nicer people or better neighbors. Knowing them was such a blessing.
