Hazel Brown

Hazel Brown, 89, Camby, died July 16, 2012, in Meadow Lakes, Mooresville. Mrs. Brown was born March 10, 1923, in Laurel, Kentucky, to the late Richard and Bessie (Dees) Benge.

Mrs. Brown was a proud homemaker, exceptional cook, and enjoyed gardening. She attended New Life, Eternal Life, and Lifeline Baptist Churches through the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dolphus W. Brown.

Survivors include her sons, Cline Brown (Kim) of Greenwood; Claude Brown (Yong) of Plainfield; daughters, Josephine Cobb (Phil) of Avon, Geraldine Wells of Alabama, Aleene Riley (Dave) of Mooresville, Lorene Shannon (Ronnie) of Plainfield, Earlene Flores of Martinsville, and Sheila Brown of Martinsville; sisters, Laurie Hampton of Kentucky and Sylvia Benge; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.

The funeral service will begin at 12 Noon, Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2012.
