Howard A. Reece, 84, Mooresville, died May 19, 2013, in St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Reece was born June 25, 1928, in Indianapolis, to the late Chester and Nellie Irene (South) Reece.
He graduated from Decatur Central High School and worked for 30 years at Wolfe and Swickard as a machinist. He enjoyed playing cards and visiting the local library. Above all, Mr. Reece was a strong family man and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June (Nott) Reece and a sister, Marciel Payke.
Survivors include his children, Bonnie Rednour (Thomas) of Mason, Ohio, Howard Reece, Jr. (Janice) of Indianapolis, and Harold Reece (Betty) of Plainfield; grandchildren, Rachel Lacey, Stephanie Rednour, Karen Kasper (Jon), and Allison Rednour; great grandchildren, Jordan and Jeremiah Lacey.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mooresville Public Library, 220 West Harrison Street, Mooresville, IN 46158.
