Howard Leroy Collier

Howard Leroy Collier, 95, of Stilesville, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2023, at Hendricks Regional Health. He was born on November 10, 1927, in Martinsville to the late Charles and Myrtle Collier. Leroy married Reva Gibbs Collier on September 20, 1947, and she survives.
Leroy joined the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean war, specializing in automotive mechanics. He graduated from Ivy Tech in 1966 with an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology. Leroy worked for ALCOA, WLFI in Lafayette, Lafayette Instruments, and briefly owned his own television shop, Collier’s T.V.
Leroy was a member of Mooresville Church of Christ for over 20 years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Leroy will be remembered by his family as a strong, dedicated, hard working man.
In addition to his parents, Leroy is preceded in death by his sons, Lee and Donald Collier; brothers, Duey, Charles, Dick, Robert, Frank, Ivan, Clarence, Albert, Ralph Collier, and Thomas Minor; and sister, Maryanna Gofwalls.
Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Reva Collier; son, Ralph (Jan) Collier; daughters, Teresa Bynam, Tammy Lutkso; daughter-n-laws, Wilma and Kristin Collier; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as many extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Mooresville Church of Christ, 720 N Indianapolis Road, Mooresville, with Ron Roberts officiating.
