Inez J. Henry

Inez J. Henry, 81, Mooresville, died July 11, 2011, in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. Mrs. Henry was born September 9, 1929, in Pennington Gap, Virginia, to the late Edward and Cora (McConnell) Craft.

She was a homemaker and former member of the Mooresville Order of the Eastern Star. Additionally, Mrs. Henry was a talented bowler, gifted artist, devoted to daily Bible study, and competitive when it came to playing video games. She also enjoyed working in her yard and landscaping as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest W. Henry; daughter, Janice Aileen Wilson; siblings, Oscar, Bernard, and Bobby Craft, Edna Martin, and Bernette Hobbs.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Lawson; sister, Helen Fee; grandchildren, Jennifer Wagner, Sonya Armitage, and Angela Davis; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.

The funeral service will begin at 12 Noon, Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 10 a.m. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.   1. Sonya, Jennifer, and Cindy, I am so sorry for the loss of Grandmother and Mother, the one thing I remember about Inez was always her smile. She always had a wonderful smile and always laughing.   2. I am so blessed to have had you for my Grandmother. What a great example of strenght and determination you have been. We have had alot of great times you and I, we have laughed our heads off together many times. I will miss our talks and going to our favorite restraunt in the whole world, Cracker Barrell : ) You were loved by everybody who knew you well and by those that had just met you alike. Delaney says Granny makes the best cornbread ever. ‘yes she does’ and those big eyes popping with excitement’ she says ‘can;t wait to see Granny and have her cornbread’ ‘it’s yummy, even for breakfast’ Can you take me to see Granny?’ :She loved to go visit her and play games. She loved her so much and even on nice days she would stay and sit with her inside.(regardless of how warm the house was) And Granny enjoyed every minute of her company too. She was a wonderful person and she will be missed very much, and I am so glad I got to know her and share the grandkids with her. My sincere sympathy to all the family and especially to Angie and Cindy, Jennifer , and Sonja.. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you! Betty & Garnet

  4. It’s true Betty, she did make the best cornbread EVER, AND, best fried taters too. She told my daughter Kasey that when she died, she was comin back as a tater cause there aint nothin better than a good ‘ol tater!!

  5. We remember those BULLPEN games!!!! WHEW it could get rough with Bernett and Aunt Tiny competing – NO mercy! Those were good times and wonderful memories. Aunt Tiny will be missed. We love you and share your loss. Kerry & Joan
