Jacqueline L. Bredle

May 21, 1946 ~ June 17, 2022
Jacqueline L. Bredle
76, of Martinsville, passed away on June 17, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her family. Jackie was born on May 21, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Paul Allen and Katherine (Pyles) Allen.
Jackie worked as an administrative assistant for Eli Lilly & Company for 10 years. It was there that she met the love of her life, Jim Bredle. They married on December 20, 1975 and were happily married for over 46 years. Jackie and Jim shared a love of classic cars and traveling. They enjoyed vacationing at their favorite spots in Sarasota, Florida and Gulf Shores, Alabama. Jackie owned several classic cars over the years including a ’65 Corvair, ’69 Camero and a ‘74 Gran Prix. In her younger years, Jackie and Jim played tennis and enjoyed watching tennis, especially cheering on her favorite tennis player, Roger Federer. She loved spending time with family and keeping up with old friends on Facebook, reading Stephen King novels, and trying new recipes. However, it was her grandkids, Daniel and Jane that were the gleam in her eye. She loved spending every moment she could with them. She will be remembered for her love of life, her thoughtful, loving, caring heart that would help anyone in need, and her wonderful sense of humor in finding humor and irony in life.
She is survived by her husband James Bredle; son Jason (Rebecca) Bredle; brother William “Bill” (Sandra) Allen; her beloved grandchildren, Daniel and Jane Bredle, as well as nieces Rachel Allen and Lindsey (Josh) Reagan.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Jackie’s life on Thursday, June 23rd from 4-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Funeral services will be on Friday, June 24th at 11am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.

Jackie was always the “cool” cousin at family gatherings. She was 10 years older than the rest of the cousins, very pretty, and we tested her patience alot. Steve Pyles

We’ve enjoyed many good times with Jackie. We met her thru Corvette clubs, traveled to Bar Harbor, Black Hills, etc and spent time with her in Siesta Key. Joy and I will miss her very much.
Jim- I was saddened to hear the news of Jackie’s passing. I thought she was a neat lady and I enjoyed being in her company at HCC meetings and events. Although I haven’t physically seen her in several years, we still had our communication through Facebook. My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Linda Privette
