I am honored to have served alongside Jim as a Gideon for many years. His testimony, work ethic, and willingness to mentor and bring along newer members was always appreciated. God bless this man and his family!
Sending thoughts and ߙprayers. May memories comfort you in the coming days. Love, Rose Marie
Our deepest sympathy to Elizabeth and Kent and other family members. Jim was a friend and colleague for many years. I worked with him and later for him at Allison Transmission. Because of Jim’s influence I became a member of Gideons International and served with him for over 50 years. Jim was a brother in the Lord, an engineering colleague, a mentor and friend. I have many memories of the experiences we shared together. Bill Clark and Geneva
I remember thè first time I meet Jim and Betty. I was working with Kent on Bettys case,(she was involved in a car accident). So Kent and I shoe up to the house and we go in. Jim greets us at the door and he was the sweetest man you’ve ever seen. He showed me around the house and from that first moment he treated me like family. I am forever greatful for the Mitchner family. The years we’ve shared the good and the bad, and they still treat me as family. My prayers are with you all. God Bless
