James H. Clark

James H. Clark, 81, Clayton, died April 29, 2011, in his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Clark was born March 20, 1930, in Robbins, Tennessee, to the late William Thomas and Donia (Cotton) Clark.
Mr. Clark retired from the Traffic Department at General Motors after a 30 year career. He was a longtime member of Gasburg Baptist Church and was Past Master of the Belleville Masonic Lodge #65. He enjoyed playing the guitar, golfing, and had a very pleasant singing voice. He will be missed by his loving family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Clark; sister, Waunetta Phillips.
Survivors include his wife, Marie (Patterson) Clark, to whom he was united in marriage January 19, 1950; daughter, Beverly Sears (Scott) of Monrovia; grandchildren, Jill Jenkins (Jimmy) of Mooresville and Brock Sears (Melody) of Mooresville; great grandchildren, Dallas, Emma, and Jenna Jenkins; Riley, Audrey, and Eli Sears; Pallbearers include, Dean Clark, Bruce and Anthony Bunn, Brock Sears, Dallas and Jimmie Jenkins, Keith Renfro, Mark Rice; Honorary Pallbearers include, Harold, David, Larry, and Doug Clark, Scott Sears, Luster Patterson, Douglas W. and Michael McDowell, Douglas Patterson II.
The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2011, in the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, with calling there from 12 noon. Rev. Jack Elliott will officiate, and burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gasburg Baptist Church Youth Group.

I have heard Pat say so many times that she loved him like a brother. That says so much for the kind of man he was. I am thrilled to know that you will see him again in your eternal home with the Lord.
