James Leslie Deppert

MITCHELL – James “Jim” Leslie Deppert, 69, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at his residence.

Born March 30, 1954, in Mooresville, he was the son of Charles Benjamin Jr. and Ida “Joann” (Gunnell) Deppert.

Jim graduated from Mooresville High School, class of 1972. He enjoyed baking, fishing, hunting, traveling, and doing home improvement and construction. He loved his Akita named “Ojo”.

Surviving are his children, Brandon (Chelsea) Deppert of Atlanta, Georgia and Austin Deppert of Jacksonville, Florida; grandson, Nathan Deppert; sister, Cynthia “Cindi” (Dwight) Offerman of Bismarck, North Dakota; nephews, Ryan Bussiere of Deadwood, South Dakota, Chad (Katie) Bussiere of Spearfish, South Dakota; great nieces, Ahria Bussiere, Stella Bussiere, and Claire Bussiere; great nephew, Lucius Bussiere.

His parents preceded him in death.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, June 27th from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.  The graveside service will immediately follow at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
