Mr Jim will be dearly missed in the Handicapable Camp community. He was always so kind and made me laugh. Camp won’t be the same without him. Thoughts and prayers to the family!

JQ was my neighbor, my scout master, and a man who had qualities to which I aspired. He was patient. JQ had the patience of Saul as he and others worked with my scout troop each week, during camporees, and summer camp. He was compassionate and caring. He allowed me, and so many others, the opportunity to interact with people of all abilities, which in turn allowed me to first see the person before seeing any difference. He was a servant. He used his own personal time in the service of others. Time is valuable, and he invested his time in others. He was fun and funny. He could always make me laugh; he always appeared happy. JQ could talk to anyone. He once struck up a conversation with a women in an elevator who turned out to be my cousin from Ohio. How does one, in a matter of seconds, in an elevator throw out that they are from Mooresville, Indiana? I would like to think that JQ, Jot, Harold, Paul L. and Paul B. are somewhere around a campfire enjoying themselves.
I am so thankful to have known Jim through Handicapable camp, where I was a counselor and then food coordinator for several years. It was a joy to volunteer at camp an see Jim’s enthusiasm and care for all attendees. The camp will continue as a tribute to his caring for disabled adults. He founded it and provided guidance through all these years. I pray for God’s comfort to Jim’s family and friends. *** Kathy Clendineng

Well said Sam. Jim was a good giving man… and always left the campsite.. like he did with all his living, better than he found it.
May God bless the Quillen family and friends. The brothers are all together now and gave so much to our precious town. Such wonderful memories they have left us. Rest in peace. Jane (Bernard) Giannoulas
