Janice McGinnis

Janice McGinnis, 72, of Mooresville, passed away on December 19, 2022. Janice was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Ralph & Margurite Darby on February 5, 1950. Janice married the love of her life, Mike McGinnis on February 25, 1989. Janice was passionate about gardening and made it a family affair with her grandchildren. She loved growing and nurturing her vegetable garden. She was an avid animal lover and loved spending time outside. She enjoyed sewing and crafting. Janice was a caretaker of all around her. It was important to her that her family was happy and healthy.


Janice is survived by her loving husband; Michael McGinnis, children; Stephen (Jana) Sims, Michael (Jennifer) Linville, Jessica McGinnis, Jason

(Erin) McGinnis and Brian (Brittany) Rardon, grandchildren; Spencer, Mikey, Tierany, Kaydon, Torey, Aleasha, Madalyn and Ameila, along with great-granddaughter; Kamyla.


Janice is preceded in death by her son; Stevie Rardon.


Visitation will be held at Carlisle Branson Life Celebration Home on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 4:00-7:00pm. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 12:00pm, with one hour of visitation from 11:00am-12:00pm. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.
