Janis Carol Box
82, of Mooresville, passed away on November 4, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family. Janis was born on October 20, 1944 in Bedford, Indiana to the late James and Mildred May (Houston) Catozzi.

Janis worked for Nice-Pak in Mooresville for over 24 years, retiring in 2003. Strong in her faith, Janis was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Mooresville. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden, playing Bunco, photography, country music and dancing, as well as being an avid fan of the Indiana Hoosiers and the Indianapolis Colts. However, it was her family, especially her two daughters, who were her pride and joy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Gene Box, and a sister Rose Rustad.

Janis is survived by her daughters, Lynette Tate (Scott), Stephanie Williams; sisters, Susie Catozzi, Beverly Dittmar, and a brother James Catozzi (Karen).

Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Tuesday, November 10th from 1:00-2:00pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with services beginning at 2:00pm on Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in Mooresville Cemetery.
