Jason D. Petro
64, of Mooresville passed away on March 28, 2026, at home, surrounded by his family. Jason was born on September 11, 1961 in Columbus, Indiana to the late Jeral Petro, Sr. and Clara Jean (Rhoades) Petro.

Son of a plumber, Jason learned the trade and worked as a plumber for Petro Plumbing in Columbus, and Moore’s Plumbing before going into business for himself. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to the blues, especially Johnny Winter and Bonnie Raitt, as well as watching racing of all kinds, including NASCAR, local dirt track racing, motorcycle racing and fishing. He will be remembered as a hard-working man, who loved his family deeply.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeral Petro, Jr. and a niece Tabitha S. Hardy.

He is survived by his wife, Diana (Pryor) Petro; daughter Melissa Petro McQueen (Tony); stepchildren Brian Pryor, Holly Smith, David Stewart, Jr., Steven Jones; siblings Rebecca J. Davis, James M. Petro, Melanie J. Henson; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews and one more great grandchild due in October, who will all miss him dearly.

The memorial service will begin at 5 PM on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.  Friends may visit prior to the service, beginning at 3 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, to help offset funeral expenses.
