Jean E. Sims

Jean E. Sims, 80, Monrovia, died January 26, 2012, in The Waters of Martinsville. Mrs. Sims was born November 14, 1931, in Indianapolis, to the late James Tillberry and Ruth (Ricketts) Clark.

She was a proud and very capable homemaker, caring tenderly and lovingly for her husband and seven children. She was an excellent cook and also enjoyed working word searches. She will be missed by her loving family and friends.

Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Sims and a son, Sidney 'John' Sims.

Survivors include her children, Tom Sims of Monrovia, Joanna Sims of Monrovia, Evelyn Averitt (Doug) of Mooresville, Tim Sims of Martinsville, Joe Sims of Monrovia, and David Sims of Monrovia; brother, William 'Bud' Tillberry of Indianapolis; four grandchildren; one great grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012, 4 to 8 p.m., at Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, and from 10 to 11 a.m., on Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Rev. Jack Elliott will officiate the 11 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall.   1. Mom, I miss you very much. There isnt a goes by, that I don’t think of you. I wish you were here. I know that you are in my heart and that when I think of you , you are here with me. I just wish I could hug you and kiss you and tell you everything that is going on in my life . I miss and love you very. Love you mom.

  4. I have not yet come to terms with losing you. I understand time heals all and know that you are truly happy once again. If only that helped ease the pain in my heart. I am proud to say I am Jean Evelyn’s granddaughter. You will be missed much more than you would ever believe.
